The Hammerheads faced Bermuda again on Sunday night at the National Stadium. This was the second of two meetings between these two teams in just three days. After a 0-0 tie on Friday night the Hammerheads came away Sunday with a 1-0 victory. This victory moved them back to the top of the USL Second Division standings with 11 points.
The Hammerheads and Bermuda played evenly through the first half as the score standed at 0-0 at half time. John Devae scored the lone goal of the match in the 51st minute he was assisted by Jamie Watson.
The Hammerheads had to sub early in the first half after Tweety Walters was injured and was replaced by Steven Curfman. Tweety is recovering from a concussion and is unlikely to play Friday night at Western Mass.
The Hammerheads will be in Bermuda for a few more days where they will play two exhibitons against the U23 Bermuda National Team. These games are set for Monday and Wednesday. The Hammerheads then head to Western Mass on Thursday for a game on Friday night against the Pioneers. That game is set to kickoff at 7:30pm.
