The Hammerheads will be back at Legion Stadium after a three game ten-day road trip. The Hammerheads started the road trip facing up against the Bermuda Hogges. The first match Friday May 13th resulted in a tie 0-0. The second match was on May 15th, which resulted in a 1-0 win for the Hammerheads. John Devae scored the goal in the 51st minute he was assisted by Jamie Watson. The final game of the road trip was against the Western Mass Pioneers where the Hammerheads suffered their first loss 2-1.
The team is excited to come back home for the next two games and hopefully come away with two victories. On Saturday May 30th the Hammerheads will be facing up against the Pittsburgh Riverhounds who currently have 5 total points and are 7th place in the USL Second Division standings. A win can possibly bring the Hammerheads back on top to first place in the standings.
Head Coach David Irving commented “It is nice to finally play at home after four games on the road. We are really need to come away with three points on Saturday to continue the successful start we have had.”
