The Hammerheads travel to Baltimore Saturday to face off with Crystal Palace. Wilmington is looking to continue their two-game win streak they have going into Saturday’s match. The Hammerheads had a 1-0 victory over Bermuda last Friday and a 2-0 victory Tuesday against the Charlotte Eagles in the first round of the U.S. Open Cup.
Crystal Palace has lost their last two USL-2 matches and is entering Saturday tied for 4th in the league with 12 points and a 3-5-3 record. One of those five losses came from a May 2nd match where the Hammerheads were victorious at home with a 3-0 over Crystal Palace. Currently the Hammerheads are in second place in the standings with a 4-2-2 record and 14 points.
The Hammerheads are going to Baltimore looking for the season sweep while Crystal Palace is looking to avenge their 3-0 loss from earlier this season. The match is set to kickoff at 7:00pm on Crystal Palace’s home field at UMBC Stadium.
