Hammerheads blank Monarchs 3-0

The Hammerheads were able to get a win on the road Sunday afternoon in Maryland with a 3-0 victory over the Monarchs. This victory improves the Hammerheads record to 5-3-2 and are now tied for third place with 17 points in the USL2 standings.

The Hammerheads first goal came in the 34th minute by Zeke Dombrowski, this was his first goal of the season and he was unassisted. Jamie Watson was then taken down in the box in the 45th minute and was able to score on a penalty kick right before half. This gave the Hammerheads a 2-0 lead.

The last goal was scored in the 74th minute by Jamie Watson and he was assisted by Kenny Bundy. With that goal Watson now has six on the season and is now tied for first place for most goals scored in the USL Second Division. Hammerheads goalkeeper Daryl Sattler also recorded his fifth shutout of the season.

The Hammerheads now return home for a six game home stand which begins next Saturday June 27th when they host the Harrisburg City Islanders at 7:00pm. During this home stand the Hammerheads will play five USL regular season games as well as the third round of the US Open Cup when they host the Chicago Fire on June 30th at 7:00pm.
