The Hammerheads are set to hit the pitch Friday evening for the fifth time in just ten days. The Hammerheads played Tuesday night in Rochester, NY where they saw their US Open Cup run come to an end with a 2-1 lost to the Rochester Rhinos in the quarterfinals of the tournament.
The Hammerheads are looking to rebound from two straight losses when they host the Western Mass Pioneers Friday evening at Legion Stadium. This game is set to kickoff at 7:00pm. The Hammerheads are looking to bounce back to second place in the USL Second Division standings with a collection of three points.
The Hammerheads and Western Mass have already met one time earlier this season in Massachusetts where the Pioneers were able to pull of a 2-1 win over the Hammerheads.
During half-time Hammerheads great George Corrie will be honored for his 10 years of service to the Hammerheads. Tickets are still available by calling 910-202-0518 or via wilmingtonhammerheads.com.
